{"id":5248,"date":"2023-09-20T23:08:47","date_gmt":"2023-09-20T21:08:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greenartincubator.org\/?p=5248"},"modified":"2024-08-06T11:44:55","modified_gmt":"2024-08-06T09:44:55","slug":"research-on-climate-related-policies-addressing-museums-in-the-eu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greenartincubator.org\/en\/activities\/research-on-climate-related-policies-addressing-museums-in-the-eu\/","title":{"rendered":"Research on Climate-Related Policies Addressing Museums in the EU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the purposes of the annual report of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ne-mo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Network of European Museum Organizations<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (NEMO), the research team of Green Art Incubator conducted a study on green policies addressing the museum sector in the 27 countries of the European Union.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The research resulted in the publication of the report titled <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Museums, Climate, and Politics &#8211; Taking Political Action in the Sustainable Transition<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which was presented at the European Museum Conference held in Finland in November 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5228\" src=\"https:\/\/greenartincubator.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nemo-COVER.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1220\" height=\"687\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greenartincubator.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nemo-COVER.jpg 1220w, https:\/\/greenartincubator.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nemo-COVER-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/greenartincubator.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nemo-COVER-1024x577.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/greenartincubator.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nemo-COVER-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1220px) 100vw, 1220px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The report provides summaries of national and local policies in the field of environmental protection and climate change relevant to museums in EU countries. Its goal is to raise awareness within the museum sector and support museums in fulfilling their potential as partners with decision-makers and community leaders in the sustainable transition of Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The research methodology included a detailed examination of primary sources\u2014laws, strategies, action plans, and other official government documents related to climate change and cultural production.
