Theater as an Agent of Change Workshop

The workshop was based on the current stance of the global cultural community that theater today plays the role of a social agent – not only by highlighting certain political and social issues through stage narratives but also through its overall business strategies and organizational culture. The workshop, through various segments, acquainted participants with the fundamental characteristics of the climate crisis and the possibilities of redesigning production approaches and business practices as elements and factors of the green politics of theater organizations.

The possibilities of adapting management processes in individual theater sectors were considered. In addition to reviewing various experiences in implementing green approaches (tools, guidelines, best practice examples), the workshop utilized an interactive approach- working with participants to jointly shape the next steps in the context of the green transition of their institutions.

The workshop was primarily intended for decision-makers in theater work processes within institutions.

The Green Art Incubator platform thanks the Zajedničko platform and the Bitef festival for the invitation and cooperation, as well as all the participants of the workshop.
